Dave oversees the strategic and technical aspects of distributed ledger development. He's led many successful software and blockchain projects, and his code has been used by 100m+ people.

Dave is a technology polyglot. Continuously curious and evolving, he has delivered hundreds of software projects to many different organisations from Microsoft, Qualcomm, and the UK's National Health Service to disruptive start-ups.

Each new wave of technology progress on the web stimulates Dave into exploring the implications and endless possibilities. Dave has been experimenting with blockchain for the last three years in collaboration with George. Together they have pushed ahead with key concepts around consensus, latency and capacity.

Along with Ramsey and Rebecca, Dave ran Head London, a 60 person software agency which they sold in 2016. He also wrote the book on the open source Scalatra HTTP framework, used by the BBC, Netflix, and McLaren.

We are transforming how financial markets work, so no one gets to stack the odds against anyone else. On Vega Protocol, markets are open and fair, fees are shared by market makers — not centralised institutions — and governance decisions are made by the community.

What we’re doing isn’t easy. Building a fast, decentralised system is hard. Ensuring it’s fair without a central owner is complex. But we’re not intimidated by challenges. We’re motivated by them.

We can’t do this without an active community. Tell us what you think. Read our protocol whitepaper, and follow our progress on Twitter.
